Improve your skin with Dermamelan | SKIN DEPIGMENTATION TREATMENT

Skin depigmentation treatment. Much attention has been taken into account for treatment for abnormal skin pigmentation. Skin pigmentation is caused by abnormal production of melanin, the substance responsible for skin colour. This abnormal pigmentation can be triggered by hormonal and environmental factors.

Experiencing abnormal skin discolouration can take its toll to one’s self esteem. Luckily, there is a skin depigmentation treatment that is highly effective and produces glowing even skin tone.

Dermamelan has been proven to be an effective solution. Dermamelan is a two-step skin treatment solution: an office treatment and a home care treatment.

To begin, Dr Maurizio and Dr Roberto Viel will apply the Dermamelan cream on the face and this cream is left for eight to twelve hours, depending on the doctor’s recommendation. During this time you my feel tingling sensation on the skin.

By the next day, the skin will appear pinkish to reddish. Make sure to wash the face with water and mild soap. Start applying the homecare treatment cream as indicated. On the second to third day, the skin will start to peel off which generally last for two to three days (sometimes a week but in decreasing in amount). Continue to apply the homecare treatment cream. Make sure to protect the skin from direct sunlight. A sunblock is crucial when going out.

With Dermamelan, renewed skin texture and appearance is visible after two to four weeks, depending on the severity of your depigmentation and how fast you recover.

Here in Dubai, Skin Depigmentation Treatment is available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Drs. Maurizio and Roberto Viel have over 25 years of experience in the field of cosmetic surgery industry and are known for their expertise in cosmetic treatments and surgeries.

LIP FILLER IN DUBAI | LCAS GULF

Filler Injections

Lip fillers are non-surgical cosmetic treatment in enhancing the shape and texture of the lips. The most widely used type of soft tissue lip fillers are ones made up of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by our body and mainly found in the skin, connective tissues and eyes. Its most important function is to retain water, thereby keeping the tissues well lubricated and moist.

Hyaluronic acid as a lip filler has been proven to be a great solution to improve the lips. The procedure is quick, and the result is immediate.

LIP FILLER PROCEDURE

The procedure involves multiple injections around the lip lines and will last for around 15 to 20 minutes. Most lip fillers have an anaesthetic included in their ingredients. However, the doctor can also inject an anaesthetic or apply an anaesthetic cream to lessen the discomfort associated with the treatment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Mild pinpoint bruising and swelling can be expected after the procedure. These effects will usually disappear after a few hours.

WHEN CAN I SEE RESULT

The result of lip filler injections is immediate. As the swelling and bruises lessen, the lips will also improve in terms of texture, appearance and shape.

HOW LONG DOES LIP FILLERS LAST

Lip fillers are considered as a temporary treatment because the body eventually absorbs the HA. So, you may need to repeat the procedure in 6 months to a year.

THE ADVANTAGE OF HA FILLERS

The most well-known advantage of HA fillers is the availability of a substance, Hyaluronidase,  that can counteract the HA effect. As with HA treatment, the Hyaluronidase involves an injection to the lips.

OTHER LIP FILLER

Autologous nano fat injection can also be used as a lip filler. The fat harvested from other areas of the body is mechanically emulsified and filtered before injecting. Mild bruising and swelling can also happen.

Here in Dubai, LIP FILLER is available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Drs. Maurizio and Roberto Viel have over 25 years of experience in the field of cosmetic surgery industry and are known for their expertise in cosmetic treatments and surgeries.

Hottest Depigmentation Treatment in Dubai

Skin hyperpigmentation is caused by an overproduction of melanin, the substance responsible for skin colour. Various factors, such as overexposure to the sun, pregnancy, and hormonal changes, can all contribute to an increase of melanin.

Over-the-counter skin products may not be as effective as Dermamelan treatment. Dermamelan is proven to lessen the appearance of these dark spots, resulting in a flawless-like skin.

What is Dermamelan?

Dermamelan is a mask treatment that lessens and reduce skin hyperpigmentation. It is composed of two-stage: clinic-based treatment and maintenance-based.

How is the Dermamelan done?

The first stage involves a visit to the clinic. The doctor will clean the face using a degreasing solution which removes oil and other external debris on the surface of the skin. Afterwards, the depigmentation mask (dark brownish-colour) is applied and is kept on the skin for at least 8-10 hours, depending on skin colour. You don’t need to stay at the clinic for this long. The doctor will just apply the cream and let you go home, so make sure to go straight home, otherwise, you risk exposure to other environmental factors and of course, we don’t want other people staring at your face.

The second stage is the maintenance stage, a cream-based treatment done at home. Once the maximum time has been achieved, you may wash your face with water and soap. You may feel tingling on the skin even before the maximum time has passed. This is a normal occurrence as the depigmentation treatment penetrates the skin. The cream is applied twice a day until a month, depending on the doctor’s recommendation.

What can I expect?

During the application of the depigmentation mask, you may feel tingling and warm sensations on the skin. The skin may already be red and puffy on the first two days. It can be very sensitive to touch and very tight. Be sure to apply sunblock, moisturiser and the home cream.

On the third and fourth day, the peeling will start. This is when the magic really happens! The outer skin peels off ranging from bits and pieces to sheets of skin. Similarly, the skin will be itchy. Make sure not to scratch them or you risk having unwanted complications.

On the fifth and sixth day, skin shedding will have lessened and you will feel that the skin is settling down. Slight redness, itchiness and tightness can still be observed.

On the 7th day, this is when great improvement is obvious. The shedding has stopped and glowing skin appears. As the days pass, you may notice more improvement in skin texture and appearance.

Facial Rejuvenation Treatments | Dubai

“Love is a many splendour thing,” and so is facial rejuvenation. With a lot of available facial treatments to improve facial rejuvenation, below are by far the most common.

Botulinum Toxin Injection (Botox)

Botox main goal is to smoothen lines and wrinkles. This goal is achieved through temporarily paralysing the targeted muscles. As such, facial movement is kept at a minimum until such time (around 3 to 4 months) when the neurotoxin loses its ability. By this time, another injection is required.

Dermal Fillers

Full cheeks and lips are usually an indication of youthfulness. As we age, fat loss increases and results in sunken cheeks and thinning lips. Dermal fillers are considered a safe way to improve and fill these problems. The most common dermal fillers used is the Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is naturally abundant in the body. By using HA as soft tissue fillers, there is highly unlikely to have significant complications. HA dermal fillers are a temporary treatment to augment lips and enhance the cheeks and last for six months to a year.

Vampire Facial

Vampire facial, also known as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment is done for dull skin and texture. It uses one’s plasma (the yellowish component of whole blood).

Whole blood is composed of red blood and plasma. To separate the two blood components, the collected blood (around 8-10mL) is placed in a centrifuge machine for 5 minutes.

Once separated, the plasma which has a high concentration of platelet is introduced to the face by tiny needles. Dryness is common during the first few days, so make sure to keep the skin well hydrated using moisturisers and avoid direct sun exposure. After the first week, you will feel that the skin is more vibrant and glowing. A session of three treatments, spaced a month is required to achieve the best result.

Here in Dubai, Botox, Vampire Facial and Fillers are available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

The art in fillers | Fillers in Dubai | LCAS

LASER treatment
Fillers in Dubai

The emergence of botulinum toxin injection has paved the way to the discovery of fillers. Previously, different types of fillers were used, such as collagen, silicone and even paraffin. Consequently, most were abandoned due to the high incidence of complications and permanent damage.

Below are the two common fillers used today.

HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a protein that is naturally found in the soft connective tissue of our skin. Dermal fillers made of HA are gel-like substances that are effective in restoring skin to its youthful glory and replenishing volume loss.

The gel is introduced to the dermis using a fine needle. Topical anaesthesia may be applied prior to the injection. However, there are fillers that incorporate lidocaine, an anaesthetic substance to block any pain or discomfort associated with the treatment.

HA dermal fillers can give instant results that help augment the lips and achieve a smoother younger-looking appearance. It is the most widely used type of dermal fillers and the most popular. One key advantage of HA fillers is the availability of hyaluronidase, a substance that can break down hyaluronic acid.

Side Effects, Risks and Complications

Slight swelling and bruising may be evident for the first few hours following the injection and will eventually subside.

Effectiveness

The duration of the dermal fillers varies for each individual. Dermal fillers are considered temporary treatment and usually last from 6 to 18 months.

AUTOLOGOUS FAT INJECTION

Another option for those who want to fill in gaps and wrinkles is through nano-fat injection. It uses one’s fat (autologous) that is filtered and purified and injected much like a dermal filler. It can be used to volumize the cheeks, lines around the mouth and even the lips. Reaction from the fat is less likely to happen. The effectiveness of the fat injection may vary depending on the person’s lifestyle. They should maintain a stable weight and avoid significant weight fluctuations. They should also avoid smoking as smoking has a detrimental effect on the injected fat which results in the loss of fat.

The goal of filler therapy is not just to restore youth by softening the lines but also to re-establish fullness and smoothen contours. Dermal fillers or autologous fat injection offer the opportunity to improve attractiveness by minimising wrinkles and lines and pursuing ideal proportions for each individual.

Injectable Fillers – Soft Tissue Fillers | LCAS | Dubai | London

Injectable Fillers in Dubai

A youthful face is characterised by smooth textures and prominent cheeks. As we age and constant exposure to the environment, changes to the facial contour and texture occurs resulting in dry skin texture, the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and loss of volume.

Thankfully, dermal fillers have been available for decades as a treatment to improve the lower half of the face by decreasing the appearance of lines around the mouth and enhancing lips and cheeks volume.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Currently, there are multiple soft tissue fillers available in the market. The most significant is the one made up of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, most especially found in the skin tissues. Its main feature is hydration and anti-ageing.

Dermal fillers made up of hyaluronic acid temporarily volumize targeted areas such as the lips and cheeks. It can last from a year to a year and a half.

Advantage

The popularity of Hyaluronic Acid may be attributed to the availability of a substance that can counteract the effect of Hyaluronic Acid. So, in cases where the patient wants the hyaluronic acid removed, the injection of a sufficient amount of Hyaluronidase is enough to breakdown the filler.

Result and Side Effects

The result after the injection of dermal fillers is immediate. However, temporary side effects may occur like pinpoint bruising and mild swelling on the injection site. These side effects resolve after a couple of hours to a few days.

Here in Dubai, Dermal Fillers is available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Drs. Maurizio and Roberto Viel have over 25 years of experience in the field of cosmetic surgery industry and are known for their expertise in cosmetic treatments and surgeries.

Botox and Fillers | What is the difference | Dubai | LCAS

botox

Botulinum toxin and facial fillers are two different cosmetic treatments that can reduce wrinkles and lines. Although both can be used for facial rejuvenation, they are very different from one another.

The main difference between Botox and Fillers is that Botox is a neurotoxin that decreases the activity of the muscles that cause wrinkles; while fillers add volume to soft tissues.

Botulinum toxin

Botulinum Toxin is a purified protein that blocks signals from the brain going to the nerve endings. It is injected to the muscles which cause muscle hibernation and therefore decreases the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

The effect of botox can be seen after a week and can last for three to four months. For some patients, especially those who have had continuous treatment with botox, they may only need a couple of injections every year. In general, treatment frequency varies between patients to patients.

Facial Fillers

On the other hand, facial fillers are used for soft tissue augmentation.

There are different types of facial fillers: dissolvable and non-dissolvable. In our Dubai Healthcare City, we only use dissolvable facial fillers because of its safety and proven results.

Facial fillers are made up of different components but the most popular is the one composed of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is a natural-occurring substance that makes up the body. It is commonly found in the skin, connective tissues and eyes.

The filler is injected beneath the skin to plump the skin, decrease the appearance of lines, and add volume to the area. HA attracts water to the injected part which may cause temporary swelling.

Both Botulinum Toxin and Facial Fillers are great treatments to improve facial rejuvenation.

Here in Dubai, Botox and Facial Fillers are available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

The Truth about Dracula Treatment | Vampire Facial | Platelet-Rich Plasma

What is PRP Treatment?

Dracula treatment also known as PRP or platelet-rich plasma is a facial rejuvenation treatment that enhances skin texture and improves facial complexion.

It involves the use of micro-needling to introduce the PRP to the skin. The damage caused by the microneedle stimulates the underlying tissues to inflame, which triggers the healing process and results in the formation of new collagen. With the introduction of PRP, which has a healing effect, the skin is significantly renewed. Also, PRP has a significant amount of growth factors which are also responsible for promoting collagen renewal.

Who are the Best Candidates?

The best candidates are healthy adults who want to look and feel good. You might consider PRP treatment if you experience the following: wrinkles, lines, skin dullness.

How is PRP Treatment Done?

The treatment begins with the application of numbing cream to the face. This numbing cream is left for 30 minutes and then cleaned off. At the same time, a nurse will be extracting approximately 8-10 ml of blood from the forearm. The collected blood is then placed on a centrifuge machine– which separates the PRP from the other components of the blood.

Once the concentrated PRP has been separated, it is then applied on the face using Dermapen – very thin needles.

What happens next?

Temporary redness is common immediately after the procedure. This redness lasts for a couple of hours or more. Burning sensation on the face is also experienced by patients. Make sure to avoid sun exposure and to always protect the face using a hat and sunblock.

When will I see the result?

Initially, facial dryness is common. Facial moisturisers during this time are crucial. After a few days, skin complexion improves. Most patients describe the result as having a youthful glow.

How many sessions do I need?

The result of PRP treatment can last between 4 to 8 months. Therefore, maintenance sessions of two to three times a year is recommended for optimal improvement.

Here in Dubai, PRP Treatment is available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Drs. Maurizio and Roberto Viel have over 25 years of experience in the field of cosmetic surgery industry and are known for their expertise in cosmetic treatments and surgeries.

We all want to stay young and fresh, but as we age, this ideal may be a bit difficult to maintain. Facial rejuvenation treatments have gained a significant increase in the field of plastic surgery. Botox is by far the most popular cosmetic treatment to date. The following are common information you need to know about Botox.

BOTULINUM TOXIN INJECTION

Don’t get the ‘toxin” stop you!

Botulinum toxin injections have been safely approved for the use of treatments of fine lines and wrinkles. The amount injected is very minute and cannot cause toxicity.

How is the treatment done?

The botox is injected into the muscles to prevent them from moving, which causes the smoothening of the wrinkles.

Is there pain during the treatment?

Botox is well tolerated by most patients. However, an anaesthetic cream can be applied for about 20 to 30 minutes before the treatment. Also, the procedure uses a very fine needle which lessens pain and increases patient comfort.

When can I see the result?

Botox takes seven to ten days to be effective. Afterwards, it lasts for three to four months, sometimes even more. Botox “temporarily paralyses” the muscles from moving, which is the reason that the treatment is repeated every three to four months.

Fillers Dubai | Luscious Lips with Fillers | LCAS

dermal filler
HA Fillers for Lip Voluminisation

Dermal fillers treatment is an essential aspect of facial rejuvenation. Previously, animal and human collagen were used as soft tissue fillers but are now replaced by Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is a significant component of the skin and is involved in tissue regeneration and repair.

HA fillers have gained popularity because of its proven safety protocol and effective solution for augmentation and rehydration of the lips and other parts of the face.

How does hyaluronic acid filler work?

As a result of the loss of the body’s integrity to produce more fibroblasts, collagen and elastin, water depletion occurs in the skin leading to drier and more fragile skin. Likewise, overlying fat pads weaken.

HA fillers help moisturise and volumise the lips because of its hydrating characteristic. It attracts water and therefore achieves the hydrating effect for facial rejuvenation.

How long does hyaluronic acid fillers last?

Injectable fillers last from six months to a year. So, a treatment or two every year is sufficient to maintain rejuvenation.

Is hyaluronic acid safe to inject?

HA fillers are safe to use and are FDA-approved as soft tissue fillers.

Can I remove my HA fillers?

Yes. The availability of an enzyme (Hyaluronidase) to dissolve HA fillers has made them famous and preferred by most plastic surgeons.

Are there any side effects?

Just like any treatment involving injections, pinpoint bruising and minimal redness may occur on the injection site.

Here in Dubai, Dermal Fillers are available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Botox Myths Debunked | Dr Maurizio and Roberto Viel | Botox Dubai | LCAS

Botox as a wrinkle-eraser and line-smoother treatment

Botox, as we popularly know Botulinum Toxin, is a wrinkle-eraser, and line-smoother injection treatment. A controlled amount of botox is injected to muscles of the proposed areas.

1. Botox is just for wrinkles

Botox was first used as a therapeutic treatment for strabismus (cross eyes) and blepharospasm (uncontrollable blinking) in the 1980s and up to now. Also, Botox has been approved by the FDA for prophylactic treatment in chronic migraine headache. Finally, it is used for excessive armpit sweating or axillary hyperhidrosis.

2. Botox can cause toxicity and give botulism

Botox is from a protein produced by the bacteria, Clostridium botulinum, that is responsible for a particular type of food poisoning. The amount used in botox has been tested and substantially decreased so that it cannot pass through the bloodstream or cause an infection. Furthermore, the minute dose is only able to spread on the injected area and nowhere else.

3. Botox is used when you have wrinkles already

Botox can be used as a preventive treatment for dynamic lines to become static wrinkles. Having regular treatments of Botox can weaken the targeted facial muscles that cause wrinkles.

4. Anyone can have botox

Botox is not recommended for underage patients and those with active infections to the targeted area. It is also not used for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

5. Botox is mainly for women

There is a splurge of men who are looking to rejuvenate their facial appearance with botox injections, fillers and laser resurfacing.

Here in Dubai, botox is available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Drs. Maurizio and Roberto Viel have over 25 years of experience in the field of cosmetic surgery industry and are known for their expertise in aesthetic treatments and surgeries.

Botox – a quick solution to eliminate wrinkles

BOTOX DUBAI

What is Botulinum toxin?

One of the critical events in the history of aesthetic medicine is the discovery of Botulinum Toxin as a treatment for facial wrinkles and lines. It was through the use of Botulinum toxin injection to treat strabismus (crossed eyes) that paved the way to this modern aesthetic solution.

Botulinum toxin is derived from a bacteria, Clostridium botulinum. An extremely diluted of this toxin is injected to the muscles to achieve the cosmetic treatment for Botox.

How does Botulinum toxin work?

A controlled amount of Botulinum toxin is injected to target muscles which temporarily paralyse them. Through this treatment, the smoothening of the wrinkles and fine lines are achieved.

How long does a Botox last?

Since the body neutralises the effect of the botulinum toxin, which takes around three to four months, repeated treatment between this timeline is necessary. During the first few treatments, a short period between injections may be needed. However, for some, after having maintained procedures for more extended periods, the frequency can be done around six months or more.

When will I see the result?

Botox result is not immediate. It takes around a week for the botox to become effective.

What is the side effect of Botox?

The most common are pinpoint bruising and minimal puffiness on the site of injections, they will disappear after a few hours to a day.

There is also the risk of an eyelid or eyebrow drooping. This is a temporary effect and can be treated with eyedrop medication for a short period of time.

Is there contraindication to Botox?

Botox is not used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Botox is also not done if you have active infections in the proposed areas.

Can the botulinum toxin cause permanent damage?

The substance used in Botulinum Toxin is controlled. It is not known to cause permanent damage, travel inside the body or migrate to other parts of the body since the substance attaches itself to the targeted muscles only.

What are the things I cannot do after Botox?

During the first four hours following the botox injections, avoid massaging the injected areas or do any facial treatment. Do not shampoo the hair nor do any strenuous exercise that entails bending, leaning or lying on the treated areas. Also, avoid wearing any tight hair bands or hat around the head.

Avoid doing any facial treatment such as electrolysis or laser for up to one week after the botox injections.

Botox as a cosmetic treatment has been proven to be extremely reliable, non-toxic and safe for use.

Luscious Lips with HA Fillers

Kissable lips. We all think of full and luscious lips. The idealisation of this kind of lips can be in response to media exposure to social media personalities and Hollywood celebrities like the Kardashians and Angelina Jolie.

Previously, different compounds were used as soft tissue fillers. These include animal and human collagen, paraffin, and even oil. However, most were abandoned due to a high incidence of complications which includes hardening of tissues and infection.

It was years later that the discovery of Hyaluronic Acid as a filler became well-known. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance found in our body. It is also considered as the basic building block of the dermis.

The Advantage of HA fillers

Hyaluronic acid is not species-specific because its chemical structure is uniform throughout nature. Thus, it has significantly less incidence of allergic reaction when compared to animal or human collagen.

Another advantage of HA filler is that its effect is also significantly superior to the collagen. The result typically lasts up to six months to a year.

Lastly, HA fillers can be dissolved with another treatment through the injection of Hyaluronidase.

So, if you wanted to remove a previously injected fillers, you can remove them through Hyaluronidase treatment.

HA as Lip Fillers

Before, lip augmentation treatment presented a painful experience for patients. This experience became the barrier that most patients and surgeons encounter with injectable fillers to the lips. Thankfully, the addition of Lidocaine, an anaesthetic agent, to the fillers became a remarkable breakthrough for lip fillers. The doctor can also choose to inject an anaesthetic medicine before the filler treatment.

Risk and Complications

As with all injection treatments, swelling, bruising and redness around the injected part are the most common complications. These will lessen after a few hours. However, if severe swelling occurs, you need to be seen by the doctor again, and he will advise you on the next best course of action.

Here in Dubai, Lip Fillers is available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Botulinum toxin. We all know them by their brand name: BOTOX and DYSPORT.

Botulinum toxin injection is considered as the most popular non-invasive cosmetic treatment to date. It is a fast, safe and reliable facial rejuvenation treatment with less adverse effects.

History of Botulinum toxin (Botox/Dysport) as a Cosmetic Treatment

botox
BOTULINUM TOXIN INJECTION

Botox was first used as a treatment for strabismus (crossed eyes) in the 1970s. From there, it was noticed that the glabella (wrinkles between the eyebrows) lessened. Through this discovery, the use of botulinum toxin has garnered worldwide popularity in treating facial wrinkles.

What is Botox?

Botox primarily causes temporary hibernation on targeted muscles. The hibernation which usually lasts for three to four months causes smoothening of the wrinkles and fine lines. The effect of botulinum toxin is not permanent which is why repeated treatments every three to four months is necessary for optimal result.

Moreover, botulinum toxin interferes with the release of pain mediators. This is the reason that Botulinum toxin is also used to treat migraine headaches.

On top of that, botulinum toxin is also used in other medical conditions such as axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the armpits) and urinary incontinence.

What are the adverse effects of Botulinum Toxin injections?

The most common are pinpoint bruising and swelling on the injection sites. Although rare, a droopy eyelid can occur as a result of Botox. If this happens, you need to return to your treating physician and he can prescribe you with an eyedrop medication.

Botulinum toxin injection is not recommended for pregnant women or those who are breastfeeding.

Here in Dubai, Botox is available at London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery located in Dubai Healthcare City.

Facial Rejuvenation | A Less Invasive Approach |Botox Dubai | LCAS

Facial rejuvenation is an art and science in improving the appearance of the face and neck to achieve a more youthful look.

For decades, the standard has been a full traditional facelift combined with other invasive procedures. However, some of these procedures have been known to carry some significant risks, complications and prolonged recovery time.

At present, surgeons and patients alike are looking for treatments that are less aggressive that can reduce the risks and complications as well as less downtime with early return to work and social activities.

The following are a list of less invasive or minimally-invasive facial rejuvenation treatment.

BOTULINUM TOXIN INJECTIONS

Botulinum toxin injections are the most popular non-invasive facial rejuvenation treatment. It effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by “hibernating” the muscles. The treatment is repeated every three to four months, depending on individual need.

THREADLIFT FACELIFT

Threadlift facelift is a quick and simple procedure which effectively rejuvenates the skin. It uses absorbable threads to lift targeted areas resulting in a subtle but visible “lift” in the skin. Moreover, the threads stimulate collagen production to the areas which then helps in rejuvenation.

Generally, threadlift treatment is well tolerated and can be done under local anaesthesia.

LIQUID FACELIFT

“Liquid facelift” is a term used when dermal fillers are injected to targeted areas to achieve a “lifting” effect of the face.

The most common dermal fillers used nowadays are made up of hyaluronic acids, a naturally occurring component in the body and the skin and is involved in tissue repair. The procedure is done as an outpatient procedure. Patients often see immediate results.

LASER RESURFACING

There are two types of laser resurfacing for facial rejuvenation. Ablative and non-ablative laser treatments.

Ablative laser is for those who show signs of significant facial ageing or have deep acne scars, while non-ablative laser improves skin texture. Among the two, the ablative laser resurfacing is more invasive but produces dramatic improvement in the skin with fewer sessions.

Another difference between the two laser treatments is that ablative treatment uses the laser to fractionally deliver to the skin, creating microscopic holes, while non-ablative laser uses gentle heating on the surface beneath the skin. Days following the treatment, the skin appears tighter because of the immediate collagen shrinkage followed by long term stimulation of fibroblasts which stimulates neocollagenesis (new collagen production).

There are several proven facial rejuvenation treatments available and deciding on which is best suited
